HONEY, I’M HOME
Brief
Honey, I'm Home is an independent documentary created in close collaboration with Rozie Blume, a singer-songwriter based in Vancouver.
Over the course of a year, I worked as cinematographer, editor, and colourist on this intimate portrait of artistic rebirth. I shot the album recording session — five days of fly-on-the-wall cinematography — then wove together footage spanning years: family archives, Super 8 film, iPhone recordings, and conceptual material from LA. Through editorial choices and colour work, I created visual coherence across these disparate materials while honouring the emotional truth at the film's core.
What began as raw personal footage evolved into a layered, thematically structured film. My role was to bring visual coherence to disparate materials while honouring the emotional truth at the film's core. Through cinematography, editorial choices, and colour work, we created a visual language that mirrors her journey of return and self-discovery.
Currently in festival submission. Trailer available above and film stills below. Private screening link available upon request.
