Hi, I'm Richard — a Vancouver-based filmmaker and photographer passionate about capturing the stories that matter.
Over the past two years, I've filmed 150+ interviews, each one teaching me something new about human connection and the art of documentary storytelling. I believe every person has a story worth telling beautifully.
What sets my work apart is combining creative intuition with strategic thinking. My UBC business degree and marketing background help me understand not just how to tell your story, but why it resonates and how it can achieve meaningful impact.
Whether working solo on intimate character-driven pieces or collaborating on larger productions, I handle every aspect with care, focusing on content that feels genuine and powerful.
When I'm not filming, you'll find me exploring Vancouver's café scene, curating playlists, or playing hockey and tennis. I believe that staying curious about the world makes me better at capturing it.
If you're looking for someone who'll treat your story with the care and creativity it deserves, let's connect at hello@richardlam.com. I'm always excited to explore new collaborations.
