LEGACY IN MOTION

Brief
What started as an intimate family tribute in 2024 became the hero video for Gammon International's 2026 rebrand.

Justin and Stanley Chiu wanted to honour their parents, Bill and Margaret — the founders who spent 40+ years building Gammon from the ground up. The original vision was simple: create a documentary-style film to present to their parents at home as a heartfelt thank-you for their dedication and legacy.

But as we uncovered the stories — from longtime employees, family members, and the founders themselves — it became clear this was more than a personal gift. It was the story of how a family business creates lasting relationships, how values get passed down across generations, and how honouring the past becomes the foundation for the future.

Two years later, when Gammon prepared to rebrand, they knew this film captured something essential about who they are. It became the centerpiece of their rebrand, showing what makes the company different: they treat clients and partners like family, not transactions.

Process
In pre-production, we worked closely with Justin and Stanley to develop a cohesive narrative structure — one that honoured Bill and Margaret's journey while showing how their sons are carrying that legacy forward. We crafted interview outlines, scouted locations, and collaborated on scheduling to ensure every detail aligned with their vision.

In post-production, we reviewed over 4 hours of interviews to find the most emotive, honest moments. By weaving in archival family photos, we created a visual story that moved seamlessly between past and present — making decades of history feel immediate and personal.

When Gammon shared the film on LinkedIn to announce their 2026 rebrand, the response was overwhelming:
